Paintings

Paintings are a combination of collage, transfer, oil paint, drawing, encaustic and digital prints. Each painting begins with a collage of either found fragments in the environment (photographed) or constructed ones (collage from trash, ephemera) used as an under painting with subsequent layers of collage and paint applied to their surface. They are an attempt to transform the existing fragments into new images that allude to the fractured nature of memory and our sensory experience of the passage of time.
